Permissions required

To integrate with Jira Cloud, you will need Jira Administrator and Project Administrator permissions. This guide will explain how to add both of these permissions to a user from the Jira Cloud interface.

Making a user a Jira Administrator

Head to https://admin.atlassian.com, locate your organization and click Manage users

Find the user under the user list and click Show details

Ensure the user has their roles setup as follows — particularly the Roles and the Groups sections:

Whilst viewing your project, click Project settings from the left-hand side navigation

Click People from the left-hand side navigation

Click Add people, find the relevant user and assign to them the Administrators role

Verify your changes in the users list
